Charioty I. James is a graduate of Loyola School of Law in New Orleans. Before starting James & Parlange Law, Mrs. James spent years practicing in both corporate and general practice. Being immersed in such diverse areas of law has given her a unique perspective and ability to analyze, negotiate and litigate cases. During her years in corporate litigation, she has handled complex cases in the areas of personal injury, complex commercial litigation, construction litigation, professional liability, mass toxic tort, premises liability and product liability. For the past several years, she has added family law, probate, real estate, business litigation, estate planning, and criminal law to her repertoire of legal expertise.
In addition to graduating in the top of her class at Loyola, Mrs. James won many distinguished awards and scholarships while completing her education. She was awarded the Jack LaNasa and Law Dean Scholarships and the Loyola University School of Law Academic Scholarship. She earned Law Excellence Awards in Community Property, Sexual Discrimination, Administration of Criminal Justice and Constitutional Law. Mrs. James was recognized for her leadership and integrity by being honored with one of the highest awards given at Loyola – The Spirit of Ignatius Award.
Mrs. James has been recognized for her superior oratory ability by being chosen for the distinguished Order of the Barristers. She was also awarded the Edna S. Burkhalter Award for Outstanding Oral Ability.
Mrs. James is licensed to practice law in all District and County Courts in the State of Texas. She is also licensed in the Federal District Courts in the State of Texas.
Mrs. James is unique in the level of compassion she has for her clients while still having the skill and nature of an aggressive litigator. In addition to her life as an advocate and litigator, Mrs. James is also a wife and mother of three beautiful children.
